Ok fellas, below is some information for an online/interactive horse picking contest. Contest starts this Saturday Jan. 12th. Entries must be received by this Friday. Should make for 2 weeks of fun pickin. More info can be found at http://www.homebased2.com/forums/index.php

Rules:
Win Bets Only
Players select 20 races each weekend for two consectutive weekends.
You may play any track on either day. Max 20 plays each weekend.
Posting of selections will be public on here in a special forum.
Rick is still deciding the best method for entering the picks and will finalize that by Dec 14. Much depends on how well we can record the selections on this board to avoid past-posting.
Scratch alternates are another possibility. Posting by nickname ok and identity kept confidential if desired.
Prizes:
All players are automatically entered in both prize formats and one player could win both prizes.
1- no cap total profit: 45% of fees collected + 1 free month on HTR + book
Most total profit from all winning selections takes this one. Shoot for the moon.
2- consistency prize: 45% of fees collected + 1 free month on HTR + book
1pt for each winner < $10
2pts for each winner $10 +
Most total points wins it.
3- Two runner up prizes, 10% of fees collected + book
Minimum 20 must join contest for it to take place.
Fees will be returned if contest is a no go.
Estimated prize value assuming about 40 entries. Prizes value goes up or down depending on total entries collected by Jan 11. Includes value of free months on HTR and books.
