Oddly enough, per our 'conversation' about tennis versus baseball, they are ranked very close in many categories..

Also, check out where they ranked horseracing!!

This is interesting. Overall numbers look pretty close to reality.

In searching out a few of the humorous ones, I find nerve factor for diving at 8.38 vs. 6.00 for hockey. That must mean Acupulco cliff diving vs. owning a hockey team. as opposed to the 3 meter board vs. standing in front od a 110 MPH puck coming at your head and grinning about it. :D

CJ, did you notice the hand-eye coordination for baseball is higher than table tennis :-)

I'm sure table tennis was given fair treatment from all the "experts" we have in the States, LOL.

I do credit you for posting an article that states tennis is tougher than baseball.

I didn't say I agreed with the article, just thought it was interesting how they ranked the sports.

To look at boxing and rank it on top of all other sports in difficulty kind of blows my mind.. But interesting list nonetheless.

I agree with boxing, but I would spell the heavyweight division like this: f a r c e

Bowling 2.25 2.75 3.38 1.00 1.88 2.38 1.63 1.25 4.75 4.13 25.375 57
Shooting 2.25 2.50 1.38 0.88 1.13 1.75 2.38 1.88 6.75 4.00 24.875 58
Billiards 1.00 1.00 1.75 0.75 1.00 2.63 1.63 0.75 5.25 5.75 21.500 59
Fishing 1.38 1.63 1.25 0.63 1.50 1.13 0.88 0.88 2.38 2.88 14.500 60

Guys got some nerve placing Bowling #57. I want to see him throw 12 strikes in a row. I've been bowling for over 30 years
and I only have 1 300 game to my credit.

I've been a 190- 200 average for the last 15 years .

I bowl too and have no 300 games to my credit (shot 279 last week and left a damn 4 pin in the 4th frame, that was it..)

What's intriguing about bowling is it's one of the few sports where you can achieve perfection, if only for one game..

How many sports actually have perfection?

Baseball - A perfect game
Football - A QB rating that is perfect (I want to say 160)
Shooting - I am sure all bullseyes is perfection

What else?

Few I can think of:

Goalie shutouts in soccer/hockey - an individual "perfection" while not a major accomplishment in the sense of a perfect game etc.

Jockey running the table, taking every race on the card (wonder if this will ever happen?)

All 10's in scored events, (mainly Olympic types)

Hole-in-one

I'm a 190 to 200 bowler also, best a 297. No doubt about it, I choked it in the 12th!

Weird how you cannot measure perfection in most sports.. But people still try.

For instance, when Villanova shot like 80% against Georgetown to beat them in the NCAA tourney in the 80's, it was viewed as playing the 'perfect game'.. In essence, shooting 100% would be the perfect game.

Horse racing at 50, just ahead of golf and cheerleading. Are they talking about the horses or jockeys?:)

I find the list fairly accurate, except for one glaring problem...

BADMINTON AHEAD OF SWIMMING????????

Ya think that playing badminton is more of a challenge than the Olympic relay?

So, horseracing takes Less: nerve than surfing; less endurance than weightlifting; less flexibility than waterskiing?
