#1 Praetereo (KY) - Velasquez C. :1:

The rider never ever 'let the horse go'. Had the rail, hung back. The naked eye tells me the horse had at least some run. The rider holds the horse back the whole way, has room to move up the rail approaching the stretch, but takes the horse out behind two others, to go three wide, then starts whipping at the stretch.

The horse shows little to no interest at this point (and is completely out of it anyhow). Horse has to be as confused as I am about what his actual goal is supposed to be in this race, and has IMO become disheartened, thus the no run.

Perfect condition for the rider to use excuses also. Such as "I hung back due to the muddy conditions", or "I got him in the clear and he showed nothing". Suspect ride!

Also, this horse has had 6 different jockeys in his last 6 races, why is this?

Thank you for your time.

Also, this horse has had 6 different jockeys in his last 6 races, why is this?I think you answered your own question with this line: "Horse has to be as confused..."

Who wants to ride a confused horse?
