Or, to put it another way, there are more fools than smart people. But then we always knew that.

The NRA or Obamacare?

More importantly, which group is trying to protect the rights of its members and which group is having the rights of many of its members violated?

I'm a long time NRA member and an ACA supporter.

Many more are ACA members and NRA supporters.

Mainly because they can't afford the dues.

Hamilton corner! I read that sign each time I drive to and from Seattle. It's in Chehalis just north of Exit 72 on I-5 in Washington. He always has two messages, different message on each side.

People are not FORCED to participate in the NRA.
The NRA is what AMERICA stands for - FREEDOM.

The UACA is what RUSSIA is all about.
And of course, the FOOLS who support it need it for mental health reasons.

US citizens opposed to the NRA are forced to tolerate them.

Freedom?
Yeah, right....more like coercion

That is what America is all about - we have to tolerate you pinko libs who want to run this country into the ground and steal money from people who earn it. We all have our crosses to bear.

Live with it.

And thank God I will never be president.....

That is obviously why Obama was elected twice.

In what way does the NRA infringe on your rights and freedom?

There is nothing in the Bill of Rights protecting you from being annoyed that somewhere in this country someone is doing something you don't approve of.

And even today he could still win a battle of wits with Michael Moore.

Learn to live with this attitude. You get it everywhere in every context now. People have some implied right to NOT be subjected to someone else's defined right because it somehow infringes on their human rights. I hear this one constantly - nobody should have the right to put up a religious symbol because I have a right not to have it in my view, nobody should have the right to smoke because I have right to live in Los Angeles and breathe in a haze of smog outdoors free of second hand smoke, nobody should have the right to do anything because I have the right to object to it and my rights trump all rights... Despite the fact that I am right with them on pretty much every social issue and a number of domestic and particularly foreign policy issues, liberals still think I'm out to get them but please, of all things, stop lecturing on how people need to be more tolerant because this particular "my rights" routine is getting brutal.

That post is in jest....it's mainly a humorous jab at TJDave, who started a thread to congratulate Amy Winehouse on being drug free for three yrs (she died of an overdose).
It's a rehash of an old joke that I personally find a bit crass.

Lighten up Clocker, it's all good....you even posted in the thread where the joke is found...it's the "Tried To Make Me Go To Rehab" thread, look it up.

But, of course.
We must co-exist in perfect disharmony.

I accept that people have a right to have a misguided attitude. As long as that is as far as it goes, I am amused by their behavior. It's kind of like being able to laugh at handicapped people without feeling guilty.

There was a Kool Aid drinking soccer mom on TV a while back who said that people should not be allowed to own guns because she would feel safer in her home if she knew that none of her neighbors owned guns.

She is entitled to her views. She is not entitled to impose them on me.

You prefer the tyranny of the majority?

Be careful what you wish for. There is a reason libs haven't been able to pass any new gun control laws for decades.

http://patrick.net/forum/content/uploads/2012/11/neighbor-sign.jpgWhile your sign is very funny, but you won't see very many signs like it just like you don't see very many signs saying "GUN OWNER". If you can't figure our why, I will explain it to you in a latter post if you like.

Maybe it's a lie. Maybe the guy with the gun is next door while the occupant of the house with the sign does not have a gun. Maybe it's all just a big trap.
