Mississippi St and Ole Miss are both 5-0 and will both be in the Top 10.

2 very seasoned teams. Hopefully my LSU Tigers will "mature" for next year. Bad year to be mediocre in the SEC WEST.

One team from Mississippi at 5-0 is a rarity. I'm guessing they'd never both been 5-0 previously-- and they've both defeated legitimate squads in the process.

On another note, I'd never seen 56 points scored in a quarter, until tonight's Cal-WSU game. Included consecutive kickoff return TD's for Cal.

I think State is for real...QB play is much more consistent and they have a strong ground game.
Auburn still looks the best in the west to me, but they face Miss St next week, I think.

Cal beats Washington St 60-59 in wildest game I've ever seen. WSU's kicker missed a 19-yard FG try with 15 seconds to go. WSU must surely be the first team ever to rack up more than 800 yards offensively in a game and still lose.

We WSU fans have a term for that: Cougin' It. Indeed they did.

Add the Barners to the list of Miss State's victims. And the Rebels have a 28-point lead in Q4 vs A&M. The EGG BOWL might end up being the game of the season; who'd have thunk it? Normally almost no one outside of Mississippi cares.

Meanwhile, Baylor almost pulled a WSU: 782 yards of offense but needed a last-second chip shot FG to win. Unlike the Cougars' kicker last week, the Bears' kicker made it.
