Picks for Hollywood Park Saturday:
R1 - #4 Hoovergetthekeys-Drops, gets Baze. Should be right on the pace in a good spot behind the early speed. I believe this horse can go to the front if Baze wants it.
R2 - #10 Aggressive-Longshot drops back to winning level. Didn’t have the best of trips off of a long layoff. Taking a shot at a price here.
R3 - #1 Soy Taipan-Was never challenged when undefeated in Argentina. Barn capable with foreign runners, gets PVal.
R4 - #5 Loirinha-Beware of this FTS. Bred up and down for turf. Has fired with a FTS going long on turf before.
R5 - #8 Tricky Travis-Has run well enough on the dirt for me to believe that he can take this field. Sets up nicely, the pace should be honest.
R6 - #5 Designed for Luck-Comes out of a very tough heat. Ran like a short horse that day. Has returned to drill well and gets PVal today.
R7 - #9 Jade Forest-Barn has excelled with 2nd time out horses.
R8 - #8 Petite Historie-Opened up against legitimate grades stakes runners. Ran like a short horse. Drop not really that suspicious. Short price likely
R9 - #2 Candy Factory-Barn used to be capable with FTS. Has some decent am works, doesn’t catch that strong a field here.
