I think the hard part must be for the researchers to listen to their drunken stories all night long. Who really cares about their sexual exploits, what other monkeys and people they threw their poop at, etc. ;)

I recall Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show many years ago. Carson was getting laughs pointing out that the government was funding studies of the sex life of tsetse files. The tsetse fly is a carrier of disease in Africa. As a result of those studies a method of controlling tsetse populations was developed. Use of this method, called the sterile insect technique, is believed to have eradicated the tsetse in Zanzibar, saving many lives.

It's called "pure research."

Alcoholism is a disease which costs the American economy millions every year. It's possible the drunken monkey research may lead to a treatment or even a cure for alcoholism.

They're so funny at the jungle habitat places like Six Flags having sex even when they're not drunk. The sex they would certainly have when drunk would look hilarious. Bring on the videos, lol. :D
