On the 9th of September, Apple showed some new devices and its new payment system based on an NFC chip, Touch ID sensor and Passbook app. So we had a look to find out how it works, what it gives us and how well this system is protected.
There are some flaws as the article points out.
Two things: this could be a monkey wrench in the works for any company which is looking to use smart cards and Apple gets a slice of the pie for every transaction -- not really anything new.
