Check out this fine that started with a search of a car in early July but does not reach publication until Sep 5th. WHY THE DELAY?

This is considered conduct against the best interest of racing. Appeals are due within ten days of ruling. Fine must be paid by September 17, 2014

Here's another one, (Aug 21) they should check if they haven't

POSITIVE TEST- POST RACE
Urine sample #1120 collected at Northfield Park on 7/16/14 from the horse
Artistic Dreamer was found to contain Methacarbamol at a concentration of
1.3+-0.1 micrograms per milliliter of urine.

Sometimes there is some bargaining done before, on fine ammounts and or days, before an agreement is made between the offending party and the commissions. This is why sometimes the official rulings are delayed.

I recall The Panderosa was tested in a stake race (at the Mea) in early May but that decision didn't hit the board until a week before the Jug. He raced in the NA Cup, Meadowlands Pace and other races until the notice came out. Post race positive for morphine. Forget the year but it was the three year old year for The Panderosa
