I am looking for a glossary of terms or table of meanings for the trackmaster xml data. I contacted their support and they said they dont have a list of meanings for their own abbreviations which is incredibly hard to believe.

But if you have Excel 2007 or later, I have had limited success in opening an XML file. 30% of the time it will open. Hit and miss . Excel is poor XML reader. You need a specific XML editor. I wound up going with the track master DBase format instead.

Agree, DBase format (~r.exe, even if it's old DBASE II!).... it's a better choice, and at the same "bumped" price.

I've had the same experience with XML opening in Excel for Windows, but oddly not in Excel for Mac or Excel running in Parallels for Mac ???

Dream Weaver is a good XML WEB designer/editor but I'm just too old to take a re-fresher course....

Ill have to talk to the guys requesting this. They all are choosing xml over base and that is the reason needing the definition explanation.

You might find your answers in the attached. This is one of my old DB schemas using the TM XML file for PP. Kinda messy but to the right of the xml field names are more descriptive field names.

You might find your answers in the attached. This is one of my old DB schemas using the TM XML file for PP. Kinda messy but to the right of the xml field names are more descriptive field names.

This is perfect! I don't know why TM doesn't have a listing of descriptive field names on their website.
