I guess I might as well start off with my picks for the day. These came from my website that I run in the summer months in support of a few tracks, mostly Ocean Downs. http://puppypicksbyz.webatu.com/frames.htm

R1 see how my intuition sets up today,
:)
If 8 and 9 go, Bootsy gets a trip.
If 7, 8 and 9 go inside closer takes it.

I had to reboot my puter....just caught the last part of the conversationon the mea feed...seems the Meadows is now using a computer program for the morning line, is it the trackmaster program?? Anyone hear?

I missed the announcement...also missed the driver changes for Ledford, Yoder went for a jog with Bootsy.
Palone got valet parking at the quarter

What I caught was that they used nine million races and 85 different variables to get the numbers.. to me that has to be Trackmaster's generated m/l. I can't see Roger creating a program to do the same so I will be staying out of the wagering pools until I get a feeling on what the public will be doing with these figures...

Race 1
E R Leah (# 9) 7/2 wins pays $21.20

Race 2
Woodruff (# 1) 4/1 wins pays $8.60

DD $117.20

Very Interesting. Think I might appreciate these lines a lot more than I was expecting at this track. There is going to be value today, just have to find the right time to pull the trigger.

First have to load up the adw acct.

All my top picks so far (4 races) have been taken off the gate and raced from behind on a speed favoring surface today. I just have to hope that they will start moving to the front at the start of the race soon or my top picks will be in trouble all day.

Race 5
Pulled the trigger on the (# 4) using the (# 3) (# 6) and (# 7) in the exacta.
Ended up shooting myself in the foot as the (# 4) broke in the last turn trying to get to the lead going first up from 4th from the half.

Taking one more shot next race. Playing the pick-3. If I lose that, I am going to Palm Beach and betting the greyhounds...lol

Needed the (# 2) to get up in the worst way or I should have boxed the ex and tri instead of playing this in the pick-3

Time for Roger Huston to retire or get new glasses. He called Miss Independence (# 5) as the winner of the 7th race when in fact it was (# 9) Lima Beauty (my top pick that I failed to bet) woe is me...

Thank you Cecil but I being stupid am playing pick-3's just using the generated morning line odds looking for a statistical anomaly all the while it was there in the 7th race handicapping. I zigged when I should have zagged. No matter the outcome, one has to love this game to keep trying to win.

Thank you Ray....this is third time I got to the top of the heap. No lead is safe in this contest. Going in most were betting more than one race and spreading their money out. I got to the top by concentrating and betting less races for more money. Well after the week off, seems they all are now loading up in few races and betting some heavy wagers. I just have to continue what I have been doing and hope that my horses remain on stride and win. I got the TV on the Mea and my computer at the puppies...if this isn't heaven, I don't know what is.

Got a glimse of the (# 6) flying on the backside during the post parade...that is a great sign...played my # in the last as the 2nd half of the late DD under the six horse in this race.

Also note that the DD for the 5 is paying $3.00 and I didn't play it due to its small size...live for me (and sorry to go against you Ray) are 1,3,6,9

Congrats on ur pick 5 hit...nice job..wish it paid more.

I keep bouncing my head off the hall hoping that a real race will develop but with Brian Zendt on top, he would never hang his brother in law, Dave Palone. No one moves three quarters of a mile. They don't race at the Meadows.

That is what happens when the backside marries into each others barns over the last five decades. Incestuous racing is what the Meadows has become.

Even my losing on this day, it was a much better day that my best day at work!
