Please note that the very popular Mohawk Hi-5 bet has been suspended till Aug 30 which will be a mandatory payout night. The last time they took bets for the Hi-5 was Aug 25 and the carryover that night was $647331.15. They are expecting a huge turnout on Sat Aug 30 when the finals for the Canadian Pacing Derby, Shes A Great Lady and the Metro will be decided. My guess is the WEG management don't want to take any chance for someone to hit the Hi-5 before the Mandatory payout night Aug 30. They certainly don't want to see a repeat of the Gulfstream incident.

I may mention here that that horses owner and gambler Dan Borislow hit the Rainbow 6 bet on May 25 this year for 6.7 million at Gulfstream Park a day before the mandatory payout costing the track a pretty penny in lost revenue which was expected to top 15 million dollars on mandatory payout day. The Rainbow 6 was being carried over since Jan 2014.

On a sadder note Dan Borislow died of a heart attack on July 21, 2014 at the age of 52.
