And a horse with a Greek name wins the 1st. Syros.

No problem, one of the best guy's I have ever known. I was with him from the start of equiform and visited him a few times at the OTB's, and his Apartment in Queens. He was one of a kind.

One of the good guys.

OK, then, bet :4: Precious Franka, coming off a new pace top and a new fig top, but only by 2 pts. according to BRIS.

Is that a Predicteform NPT?

Exotic1

Yes. That's what Tom meant. But it's a New Pace Top along with a final number top which sometimes means the horse overreached and needs time to "recover".

I got confused with the mention of Bris. Don't they also put out pace figs?

Tom

Yes, I was using the E2 and the SR from BRIS today.

Yes. What Tom was saying was that the #4 horse showed improved pace and final fig in her last race. While sometimes that may "predict" a regression in this case he is saying that since the final number only improved 2 points on the Bris scale, there is a chance that the horse is in peak form and did not overreach.

So a NPT with a 2point final top is not a Double Top using Bris. How big of a final top would make it a double top?

I'll let Tom answer. From my perspective, it would depend on any trainer change and other conditions. I generally don't have hard and fast rules surrounding figures. Figures aren't precise to begin with imo.

Late scratch on the #4.

Using BRIS, I have no ideas what is significant.
I see so much variation in the SR that I gave up trying to figure them out.
But I saw one yesteday the improved 27 points, so I figured 2 was nothing. ;)

27 is sure a lot more than 2 so I have to agree. Good Luck.

Just saw this. Wow, good picks.

Yes, I thought the #7 bore in a bit. #6 had to come in a bit and the #2 was getting squeezed.

Great call.
