I heard something about law prohibits buying bulk gas of certain grades fro resale in Californina? This makes you guys pay extra for so-called higher grades.

I'm pretty sure it's a percentage tax, it's posted on the pump I guess I can look next time.

All I know is I get reamed on the regular, been paying $2.20 for months....and I commute 2 hours a day.

Arnold needs to step in and at least make folks here think he is trying to deal with these gas prices here in Calif. or I think Bush will lose the State in Nov. AND the gas prices will be the deciding factor.
You have to bear in mind, here in Calif.....we DRIVE our cars a lot.
Combine bad roads with high gas prices and people get real pissed.

Maybe SM has bad roads, interstates seem to be getting better.
Gas is just about $2.00 here near Oakland.
I hope no more millionaires try to micromanage our private economy. When Californians use less gas the prices go down a little.
I use about 2 gallons per week, ride a bicycle mostly.

Man, pjd, that hurts! Many places in Calif. for full service are paying over $1 more per gallon than you folks.
Please don't post and tell us how good your roads are!
Thanks

The NJ roads ought to be good, you have to stop and give them some money every few miles!

Thanks, now we feel a little better in Calif.
I guess we shouldn't complain.......it could be worse, we could be in Belgium paying twice as much!

Cj,
Thanks for the laugh. It so true. Years ago I moved from Brooklyn to Old Bridge NJ. (Painewebber moved from downtown Manhattan to Weehawken,N.J.) Was getting killed double taxes NJ & NY . So I decided to move to NJ. We settled on Old Bridge NJ

Nice area but you needed a roll of Quarters to go to work.

Every time I turned around another Toll Plaza . Talk about getting
Nickel and dimed to Death . P.S. But the roads were nice
