For a minute, I thought this thread was about Obama wanting to go back to Kenya after he's done destroying this country. My bad. I would have gladly contributed some of my one percenter wealth to help him in that cause if that were the case.

Interesting numbers in that piece

He's a drain right now.

Could Illinois go Red in the future? I doubt it.

Interesting thought process though. The Messiah has turned into an anchor. Hysterical...........

But Mostie says that Obama is one of our greatest presidents ever and if the GOP would get out of the way, would transform this country into a utopia with unicorns and sunshine. What's not to love?

It says Kirk took Obama's senate seat in Illinois riding a tea party wave. ha.
Kirk was not a tea party choice by any stretch, we fought against him in the primary but Kirk was handpicked and supported by senate elders like John McCain. the only reason he won was because his opponent was a horrible candidate.

Not long ago,on CSPAN ,I think, presidential historians were debating whether he was just the WORST president since Carter or the worst EVER.

Carter certainly wasn't a good president, but I always thought he had personal integrity. Not so much Obama.

Carter just co-authored an article for Foreign Policy magazine urging us to legitimize Hamas.

Carter is garbage - in every way.

I vote for the latter choice. As bad as the Peanut Farmer was, at least he did not try to remake the Republic into a clone of the old Soviet Union, which has been the lifetime goal of Comrade President Obama.

well to me, that is left wing stupidity. Doesn't mean he lacks personal integrity, he just has a misplaced brain.

its not even debatable. we've had bad presidents, bunglers, crooks, etc. all small time pikers compared to Obama.
He's the first anti American president, one whose every action, statement and policy worked to undermine and weaken the country. all of Obamas mentors despised America. his main benefactor in his early career was a domestic terrorist who when he wasn't bombing government buildings wrote a book on how to destroy America from within.

Question:

You could call Obama a liar or an absentee-president...and you would be 100% in the right, IMO. But when you say that he is "destroying this country"...you mean, destroying this country when compared to whom? His predecessor...whose intention was to build this country big and strong?

Whom do you compare Obama to when you say that he is "destroying this country"?

You can't compare him to anyone....He is one of a kind, and thus incomparable..

.Amerika has never seen the likes of a man of his background and ideology and politics sitting on the throne before...So, how can one compare him to any other who has preceded him in that capacity..? (think pink)(busy doing pink things)

To be fair, it isn't just Obama. He thinks himself brighter than the sun when in reality the establishment on the left has their hooks in him and parade him around like a puppet constantly. So it's the whole liberal/socialist movement in this country which is destroying this country. You disagree with that contention, so you obviously wouldn't understand my POV even if I explained it. You'd just call my views misplaced and conspiracy laden. I didn't like Bush one bit for his foreign policy blunders. I too thought he was a puppet being used by Cheney and Rumsfeld. I am a deficit hawk, yet no one calls themselves that anymore. Know why? Those who balanced the budget in the late 90's and which partly led to the longest growth economy in our history were voted out of office. Making hard choices is old fashioned these days. Let's do it all and we'll figure out how to pay for it later (never). The hens will come home to roost some day my friend, and that is why I say this country is being destroyed even as I type.

I only disagree when I see people drawing distinctions between Republicans and Democrats...as if one group is working for the financial welfare of the people, while the other group is undermining those efforts. I've been in this country a long time...and I honestly can see no difference between our two main political groups...other than the differences that the media is pushing down my throat.

They are all filling their pockets at the direct expense of the citizens whom they've taken an oath to serve...and the blame belongs to ALL of them.

With regard to the parties and specifically politicians, I couldn't agree more. They are setting themselves up as a class above. In my opinion, in many areas of life, they are a class below. I wasn't referring to party designation only or even mainly, but general platforms/ideology/ideals. Case in point. Whatever happened to Kennedy's admonition that we "not ask what our country can do for us, but what we can do for our country"? What the hell happened to that quaint idea? Why isn't govt asking its citizens to support charities that help homeless, addicts, etc, etc, etc??????? Instead, we need a govt outreach program for the homeless. We need a govt program for addiction. We need a govt program to fix health care. It is simply insane Thaskalos.

No one - you look at the results of his actions.
100% record of failure.

100% record of failure.Nope...remember Osama...that was a victory...of course, we (CIA) kind of created Osama during the Soviet vs. Afghanistan war, but we won't go into that little bit of ugliness.

I totally agree with this statement. Both major parties have forgotten that being elected is to serve all the people and to do what is best for the country and its citizens. It is not to be a long term job but a service expressing the views of the voting public and not special interests that pulls the strings losing the confidence of the voters who fell for thier BS song and dance.

We are all guilty of saying things here that half of the members do not agree with, of late opposite ends in this thread are agreeing on some lines. In that spirit perhaps there can be some who would agree we as an electorate we can not afford to elect another geopolitical lightweight to the Presidency. Additionally we have to agree that it is impossible please all the people, we are very much divided and sometimes what is best for the country even the majority might balk at (both sides).
