Trying to beat Father Patrick may be tough even from his 10 post. Nuncio and Trixton have a shot. Royal Ice ran a big one last week with a 54-4 final half - is he getting good at the right time?

At quick glance of the races it looks like Gingras could win a bunch today!

My best bet of the day is Race 7. #7 Uncle Lasse. He rallied well in the Haughton elim and I see Pierce being much more aggressive today.

The Oaks is very interesting with the best horse in the second tier. I'm going to try and beat Shake it Cerry. I'm going to use the 178 probably exacta box.

The Hambo is Takter dominated. There's no value on Father Patrick. I'm going to hope Jimmy Takter who has never driven a Hambo winner has some ego and is very aggressive with Trixton. I thought Trixton looked great in his last start and comes into the race ready.

There should be a Oak/Hambo double. Good luck to everyone today.

So far through two races, they're going pretty fast miles.

Race 5 #6 Bettor's edge 12/1 is hard not to use in gimmicks off his last few efforts and will likely be overlooked on the tote board. Hopefully the 3 weeks between races was by design.

Nope, no beating Sweet Lou
I was surprised Thinking out Loud got third. He was parked a long way and going first over against Sweet Lou. He stalled around the turn and kept the backfield out of it.

Good pick. I was a little skeptical of Svanstedt's horses after two sick scratches yesterday. He's got a another nice trotter on his hands.

8th Race..Amped Up Hanover gets a huge positive driver change, inside post..
The only horse i can see beating the 1 is the 4 Stretch Cunningham, the main speed

It took about 7 years (visually) for those horses to get from midstretch to the wire. If you had the 1, the wire never seemed to want to get there! :D

9th.
All about the two main speeds here in the 4 Hillustrious and the 10 Wheelsandthelegman( say that three times fast)..
Three things...First the 10 has had things his own way unchallenged to the lead in his wins.
Big positive driver change to Gingras for the 4. If you look three and 4 back, the last two times Gingras was in the bike, the 4 won a NW 3 and a C-1, Including a lifetime mark of 1:53.4....Any time I can get 5-1 or better with Gingras and Burke, i'm taking it..
4 Hillustrious is my pick

10th race...Merely looking for a bit of value and I simply don't trust the betting public here as they've made a 12-1 ML horse in the 5 as the 2-1 choice( 5 mons to post) So I'm looking to the 9..Takter ( as a driver 22% and trainer also 22%)drives and trains this one and of course that's some capable hands there.
Yes 9 Master of Law draws outside, but in the last meeting between he and 2 Sweet Justice, Master of Law bested that one. With Master of Law's closing style he does not need the lead so the outside post should not hurt all that much.
Pick is 9 Master of Law

11th Cashman Final.
Public is all over the 1 Sebastian KS...Who wouldn't. With those credentials, this one is the obvious choice.
However, I am going to try play beat the favorite.
My hope is with the size of the purse being over $300k, the other drivers ar not going to allow the 1 to grab the lead and jog a second quarter of 28. So figuring on some sort of action up front, I will go with the only horse who's beaten Sebastian KS recently and that is #8 Intimidate. That one got up to beat the favorite by uncorking a 26.3 last Q( track sy) in the Maple Leaf Trot final at Mohawk.
Looking strictly for some value here. #8 Intimidate

It should be Sebastian K S but the announcer is too lazy to say his full name.

That horse is a God Damned monster. The driver was just interviewed by Bob Heyden and he asked Ake Svanstead where the horse goes from here. Svanstead says he gets one month off. A collective sigh of relief was heard from all the connections of the FFA trotters across the Continent.

I believe the S denotes he was bred in Sweden?

A lot of harness horses have N at the end of their name, but the announcer does not use it. I'm assuming this is a similar case.

You gotta give Archangel and Market Share lots of credit. Both ran great races, as they have most of the year, but they're being overshadowed by this monster.

12th Hambo Oaks...
Early money on the 1 Designed To Be..Ok I get it. This filly is pretty good.
However. Going back to a PASS win at Pcd and another there in June, one thing jumps off the page. in both of these wins, this one had the lead just after the quarter. In all of her other starts on the program page, if she did not have the lead by this stage, she did not win...
Which brings me to look all the way at the bottom of the page to #11 Shake It Cerry. She's 14 of 18 lifetime. She's beaten the fans top choice two of three.
Now one might be frightened of the second tier score. Not me. I think Pierce
will draft right up behind the 1 which will leave and hopefully sit pocket.
We;'ll see. I like the #11 Shake It Cerry

OOPS. Forgot to mention #8 Heaven's Door. Obviously Ake Svanstead has it going on and getting 6-1 with one of his charges is a must use in exotics.
Heaven's Door( isn't that Florida?) has beaten some tough company and belongs here.

Hambletonian..
What can I say. Father Patrick looks tons the best here on paper and is the likely candidate to make Yannick Gingras one of the few drivers to take the Hambo Oaks and the Hambo....
Small play to the 5 Nuncio....However, I really don't see Father Patrick losing here.
If anything. I'd play a bunch of dime supers with the favorite on top of a few long shots looking for some value.

14th race Lady Liberty..
IN this field, the 1.2.4 and 5 have been knocking heads all season. Toss in the 3 and the 7 and we end up with a lot of possibilities.
To narrow it down. With the 5 Androvette, unless she undersoes a form reversal I am saying she's a toss out.
With the 7, she's won six from 12 starts in 2014 but has not seen the winner's circle since May 25th.
I am going with a box exacta 1.2.4

It seems like anytime people count Anndrovette out, she finds a way to sneak in there. She was iron tough in the lane there.

The caveat in my analysis of the race was "form reversal"..
If you look at her PP's she appeared to be tailing off quite a bit.
Oh well. Ya win some, ya lose some, but ya keep on fighting.

I don't disagree with you that her recent form looked poor. Anytime I start thinking that, she throws in a performance like that.
