She caught a break when the #4 scratched, and now only has R Free Roll to deal with early - but she is a tough E type, and the chalk will need to work very hard today, provided they both get out the gate well.
The chalk is perfect over an off track (5-5) and is one fantastic NY bred filly.

My Wandy's Girl is a juicy 6-1 right now, can that be true?
She beat the chalk in Feb while conceding 5lbs...today they carry even weights.

I will hold my breath and bet the Frenchy - going with the :2: but her price is nothing nice at only 7-2.

Logic says the 3 will be gunned and there will be a "protracted" speed duel...after all, that's what the PPs suggest.

Antilogic is making me think the 1 will get a lonely lead and nobody will pressure her..i want to beat her, i want someone to duel her up and i want to sweep up with a pack of closers, but i just don't know if this jock colony is aggressive enough, the 1 might be sauntering out there unpressured.

The 6 might be the right horse who makes one run from the back. The 5 and 7 will be stalkers and may be losing ground pressing....the 6 can do what she did last time, she can sweep them (if the 1 doesnt get away with murder on the lead)

The guy on the 1 just mailed it in..she was 5 for 5 in the slop, speed was great, the horse is ALWAYS on the lead, yet, the guy just surrendered.

Would have been nice to know the guy on the 1 wasn't all that serious.

Her last 10 she has gotten the lead. :3: went out and took it to her along with pressure from the :5: and she folded like a cheap suit.

At the 2nd call she has had comfortable 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 length leads. Now she was back 3 lengths for the first time in her career and didn't respond. Can't discount her first time at Saratoga either.

May find out something happened to her. I'm not going to point the finger at Jose Ortiz just yet who has ridden her to 9 wins in 11 races before today.

I didn't see all the races today, but I saw a couple. It's at least conceivable the rail was not as good as outside & that's why La Verdad got outsprinted and then backed up from there.

If the rail was bad, it was only "right on" the rail because plenty of horses ran well inside, in the 2 path etc...

It looked to me like Ortiz made up his mind he was comfortable with the lead if he made it without much urging but he wasn't going to engage RFreeRoll in a battle for it. IMO, if he sent hard then My Wandy's Girl would have won.
