Global Phone Data Base????

I had an Indian (Hindu) who called me the other night and said he was calling me to fix my computer.

I said how did you get this number.

There is a global access database that links your computer to a phone line.

[I did not know that.]

Then he said he could fix my error messages. I told him I already had and he asked how?

I said I had deleted them.

Then he said "but you didn't fix the problem".

I said and neither will you cause they have been deleted.

There was a silence ...........and I was told to eff off.


Everyone here thought that was funny, except how they got my phone number.

Is that global computer / phone database for real?

A couple years ago I got a virus that played havoc on my computer / screen / internet access - all of a sudden a company could fix the problem for only $150 - I got another laptop but eventually cleared the computer of their crap.

A few months ago I got a call from 'Microsoft support' offering to fix my computer online. I told him what he is doing is illegal in United States and Microsoft doesn't make cold calls. He said it is good thing he is in India. I told him great and where do I send the money for his campaign to blow up the white house and kill the president. He started laughing and I said I am glad NSA listens to and traces all of my incoming calls as I am a known terrorist myself - he hung-up.
