Is there anybody else having trouble getting video? This is the 3rd day and I don't get any answers other than to blame my ISP. Is there anyplace you can get free video while I open an account with another service?
.

I don't use TwinSpires exclusively, but do use it and have used it yesterday and today. The video is working for me. I have noticed that the "Loading Video" is on screen longer than normal, but the video loads and runs well once loaded.

Have you tried streaming any other video like Youtube? Or have you run a speedtest like speedtest.net to see if your ISP is delivering enough speed to watch streaming video?

Also, If you are wireless, have you unplugged your wireless router's power source and plugged it back in to clear the IP Addresses and cache?

It never hurts to unplug any ISP router wireless or not every week or so and let it reboot. My U-Verse Gateway needs a weekly reboot or the errors get unreal.

You should also totally reboot your Computer on a regular basis instead of just letting it run or putting it to sleep.

I realize you probably know all of this. Just making sure you did not miss anything before you start the phone calls to the ISP.

Which track? A lot of tracks have free video for their own races.

Like Belmont (http://www.nyra.com/belmont/).

I believe Brisnet and Twinspires are both owned by Churchill Downs, so they are probably on the same servers.

Having had a similar problem, here is what I am doing. The version of chrome I am using is not happy with the Windows Media player I am using. Every time I open Chrome I have to re-install the media player.
The steps
Open Chrome
Open Extensions which is located in the upper right corner in the 3 bar window in the top browser window.
Delete the current copy of Media player
Open the download of the file from your documents (download file).
With both windows open drag the file for the player from documents to google window and it should self install.

I have to do this every time I open or close chrome.
And every time I use replays, I have to authorize the script used for watching said replays. Pain in the A##.

you should install the VLC media player instead. Works much better than windows media player for live video streaming and better quality, though it is not so good on archives such as trakus replays and radio archives.

WHAT is VLC? I would say inquiring minds want to know but at my age that becomes a lost cause. :D

My problems have been going on since last week. They blame my ISP but they are probably the problem. There was a day last week when everybody lost video till late in the afternoon and live video hasn't worked right since then. I wish this company would get out of the horse business because it is SO OBVIOUS they only care about the casino business.
Give me free programs for the track I wager on and LIVE VIDEO that works. IS that asking a lot? Recommendations anyone?

Since when is it the customers responsibility to solve Twinspires problems. Oh, I forgot, twinspires.com is not a casino site so the company does not care about the customer!

flush the cache in your browser, reboot your router, make sure noone on your system is playing games online using playstation or xbox, make sure noone is watching movies using netflix while you are trying to watch the races, make sure no one is using torrents to download files(very very important as this takes nearly all your bandwidth while it is going on), make sure no one is listening to music during the races(using Spotify, or Pandora, programs of that nature) Make sure you are getting all the bandwidth you have signed up for. Make sure you have the latest drivers for you connection.(What kind of connection is it? Are you plugged into system with ethernet, or are you trying to receive video of the races via your wireless connection, on a laptop, or a tablet, perhaps? There are more things to consider, but these are a few of the more important ones. Do you have Skype installed? answer me privately using my skype name which is listed below. But send me an email first so I can start Skype, as I don't leave it on while doing most things, only turn it on when I want to use it. You can send me an email when you are ready to chat about these things, using Skype, if you have it. Good Luck

You are right about servers. When I called they said they were having issues with it.

I've noticed that I'm running into the "loading video" message displayed more often at Saratoga during the running of the races, when more users switch back to watch it. This happens every now and then with Del Mar too. It's rather irritating to have that pop up during the race in the middle of the screen, even though the video continues uninterrupted.

The problem is not on my side. I get 55-65 Mbps download when I test my ISP via speedtest.net. I can run the video feeds from Twinspires, Xpressbet and TVG all at the same time, and still have enough bandwidth to play a HD Youtube video. All appear to use the flashplayer (except Youtube).

I thought html5 was going to cure online video issues and make Flash obsolete? Seems to be slow for Roberts and others to port to it.....

That's blazing speed, Hoofless. I'm running 12 Mbps down and that's PLENTY for my needs. I imagine in 10 years we'll be talking 1 Gig down.

I've been using TVG more recently, but I'll use TwinSpires this weekend and see how it goes for me. XpressBet is mostly consigned to my BlackBerry when I'm traveling since they are the only ones that have a BlackBerry App. I still like and use my Berry even though I also carry a new WindowsPhone.

Well the "loading video" issue has gone away. Now I just get an "Uninitialized" and a blank screen when I try to launch Twinspires TV. First time that's happened.

Oh dear.

TVG video working okay from Del Mar.....argh.

That's Odd, Hoofless. I've used TwinSpires two weekends in a row now with no issues.

I have found that if you click on "Twin-spires TV" on the left column instead of
clicking on video across the top that it seems to work better. Have no idea why.
