A major downer; I had so hoped he would live to see the premiere of the film, "Unbroken."

Reading this guy's story tells me it's ok to still be optimistic for this country. If we all could live until 100, and be half the human he was, I would have even more hope.

Agreed. I listened to his story from a CD book while driving cross country. This guy REALLY had the "right stuff". :ThmbUp:

Sorry to hear of his passing.I read the story about this mans life, I thought the book was a masterpiece.
