"The rumor is spreading around the pueblos! America is taking care of women and children.

The coyotes, people who help smuggle migrants across the border, and cartels are swarming in like vultures, scooping up their prey and escorting them by bus to the Mexican-American border, where they simply throw up a ladder and instruct everyone to climb up, jump into America and wait for Border Patrol to come along and rescue them.

So, of course, all the young vulnerable, migrant women who just got to America that I spoke with saw the Border Patrol as the heroes who came to assist them on their journey. They all said that when they saw Border Patrol, they finally felt safe and happy to have survived their harrowing odyssey to get to the Promised Land.

To this day, they don’t seem to grasp that they were apprehended. Once taken into custody, the migrants are given food and shelter, and deportation documents – which they keep referring to as their “papers.” After they are processed, the women with infants who claim to have family members in America are released – with documents that have a court date for a deportation hearing in a location near their kin.

Once the border-crossers have been processed by the Department of Homeland Security, they are released – so throughout the day, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement delivers them to the Greyhound bus station where they are dropped off and forced to fend for themselves. "

No worries. Mama Pelosi is going down to the border to straighten out the mess.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi will travel to the southern border of the U.S. on Saturday to be briefed by Customs and Border Protection on the flood of unaccompanied minors entering the country.

The California Democrat will also meet with a group of children held at the South Texas Detention Facility.

“The humanitarian crisis unfolding across our nation’s southern border demands Congress come together and find thoughtful, compassionate and bipartisan solutions,” Pelosi said. “We must ensure our laws are fully enforced, so that due process is provided to unaccompanied children and the safety and well-being of unaccompanied children is protected. We must also work to address the root causes of the problem.”




Due process? That would be not letting them in, and sending the ones that get in back home.

The root causes of the problem? That would be everyone in Central America concluding that the Obama administration is not enforcing the law and is granting special treatment to children.

A minor problem of housing them. I'm sure Obama and Pelosi can deal with it in their inimitable style.

The 3rd Amendment says that they can't quarter soldiers in your house. It doesn't say anything about under-aged illegal immigrants.

You also forgot about the law that respects due-process of any person under U.S. jurisdiction.

any lib that wants to come out ins support this, please post the proof that YOU have taken at least one child in or are paying 100% of the support for one.

No I didn't. Due process means that we take care of them, determine that they are illegals, and send them back. Even Obama knows that:

"We actually -- we've done that," Obama said. "The problem is that, under current law, once the kids come across the border, there's a system in which we're supposed to process them, take care of them, until we can send them back."



What I was referring to is Obama's special treatment of so-called "Dreamers", and his policy of not deporting those illegals. That has nothing to do with due process, and nothing to do with any existing laws for special treatment of children. Obama's special treatment for children in this case is to not enforce laws that apply to them.

That policy has clearly led to an erroneous assumption on the part of parents in Central America that any illegal minor that gets into the US will be allowed to stay. And Obama is not making it clear to those people that that is not the case.

here's my proof that we are all supporting them.........at least here in Texas

I made the mistake of going in a Walmart yesterday.......in the middle of the day.

Lady in front of me in line gets $164 dollars in groceries on her WIC account. She doesn't speak English. When she starts bitching because $40 bucks worth of groceries aren't eligible for WIC they find a Spanish Speaking Supervisor. The Supervisor explains to her that some of the stuff she is buying is not eligible on WIC. The Supervisor explains to the cashier that the lady has only been here 3 months from Guatemala and is new to WIC. The lady decides to pull some stuff out of her order and they go through the bags until her son (10 yrs old?) starts bitching and after ten minutes they agree on what the son wants to keep. It comes out that she has to pay $22 bucks if she wants everything. She starts raising hell again. But she relents after a short discussion with the Supervisor/in Spanish. She pays the $22 bucks and storms off.

I check out after being delayed through all this, and the Supervisor apologizes to me. I am walking out to my car and across the aisle from me this lady is loading up her groceries........ in her new F150 Texas edition....... :bang: At least it looked pretty new. Had a window registration sticker of 1/14.

I'm guessing many Texans are supporting her........

Especially those born to women here illegally, starting with all medical expenses related to the birth paid for by the citizens and automatic citizenship. Being an Anchor Baby comes with special privileges. :rolleyes: :mad:

Your thought process is seriously flawed. Where are you residing, Mexico?

This country cannot afford the onslaught of illegals crossing into the USA. Why do you defend such actions by lawbreakers. There is no logic in supporting illegal acts, yet you are on here doing exactly that!

Simple answer and solution; amend the Constitution. There is much support for this proposal. Denying automatic citizenship to children born to women here illegally is neither cruel nor racist, it would apply to all women equally, and would encourage them to stay home and give birth, not to make the long, difficult, and often dangerous journey to the USA.

I would support it however I would prefer we address the reasons why these people come here and stop that. You can't build walls high enough.

Realistically, we cannot physically seal the border. We don't have to.

People do what they are rewarded for. Make it unrewarding for people to cross the border, and they will stop coming. Make it unrewarding for Americans to tolerant it and they will stop that too.

Make employers keep verification records of employee citizenship. If an illegal is working for you and you can document you checked on him, no problem. If not, you are in deep trouble.

Driver's licenses for illegals? Right. Valid for one trip back south.

Free medical services? OK, followed by a free ticket back to your country of origin.

Local governments declaring that they are a sanctuary city? Fine. Do it without any federal funds, period.

I think you need a lot more substantive linchpin component to solving the problem than this. I live in a border state and have spent the last long while in a business where the Mexican/gringo ratio is about 10:1.

It's hard to imagine an idea in this vain that would work in the environment I'm familiar with. And when America's Toughest Geriatric Sheriff drives right on by year after year as long as businesses pay the protection money to the re-election campaign, it seems even more of a lost cause.

You need to start with the Sheriff.
The managed to deal with local a-holes in the south for civil right - they can do it for illegals. The problem lie in Washington - neither party wants it fixed.

The solution to this problem is a top down solution, the executive branch has no incentive to put party aside and execute the duty's entrusted to the executive. The house has no incentive to force the executive to lead or face impeachment proceedings for failure to execute executive duties. If in November the people have no incentive to do our duty in this mess it may be too late.
