Picks for Aqueduct Saturday:
R1 - #5 Sea the Truth-Pace picture looks favorable today. I have knocks against most of the other runners here.
R2 - #4 Hyder-Trainer has this one running well. Was close to a fast pace last time, so I forsee the race setting up favorably for him.
R3 - #5 Buzzy's Gold-Put in his best effort in quite awhile with in his first start for new barn. May be the controlling speed in here. Price should be decent.
R4 - #2 Safe Signal-Been working up a storm for comeback. Finally gets a dry surface today. Chavez stays on, barn/jock do well together.
R5 - Pass. Tough to go against probable odds-on favorite. Will watch this one.
R6 - #6 Ensenada-Well bet off the layoff last time, ran an even race. Gets the blinkers today, a positive move for this barn. Gets a jock switch too.
R7 - #10 Western Revenge-Really like the way this runner has responded to Dutrow's care. Gets Prado and stretches out today, a winning combination for them.
R8 - #9 Steadfast and True-Has had mostly good efforts with this barn. Trainer/jock clicking at a good clip in these types of races. Pace should be honest today.
R9 - #1 Icy Atlantic-Decent breeding for turf. Gets Velazquez today, a positive sign. Pletcher/Velazquez first time turf is a winning combination.
