That delayed-action poisoned cannoli finally did Don Altobello in. A long, distinguished career.

He was mentioned on this site just last week, and I googled him. What a career!! I read in his bio that a movie part he lost to Frank Sinatra was the germination of the story line in the Godfather where the movie mogul is influenced by the mob to give a friend the part versus another actor.

RIP Tuco.

To me, he will always be remembered as Calvera, the bandit chief in the classic western "The Magnificent Seven." This role is perhaps my favorite screen villain ever. Calvera was the good bad guy, so to speak, not totally evil. He had a deep sense of obligation and caring for his men, regarded his foes with respect and treated them honorably, and had a belief in God.

He was on "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and outclassed everybody on the show............

Good one!
