One of my favorite Fuzzy Logic authors, Thomas Sowell, wrote a book years ago titled Fuzzy Logic for Plain Old Folks. I highly recommend the book. (Used to be like $5 from his website.)

Now it is available online here: http://logic-bratsk.ru/radio/fuzzy/fl_tutorial/Ch1.htm

Note that unlike the most common books out there, this guy explains the entire concept in like 15 pages and the next 10-15 pages are examples.

Well-worth the time and it is free.

Interesting, but it's the type of writing that I'd mail to my worst enemy Dave.

On a fuzzy scale of 0.00 to 1.00, I would tend to say that it would be closer to 0.00.

Greyfox,

Almost every concept has within it some value. On a fuzzy scale of 0.00 to 1.00, where would you rate fuzzy logic for handicapping?

Do you think anyone else would rate it differently?

(Yes, these were tongue-in-cheek responses.)

The point is that if anyone has an interest in understanding fuzzy logic, this book is an easy path to GROKKING it (on a scale of 0.00 to 1.00, of course).

Yes. I understand.
Memo to self: What the hell is Grokking? Cooking with a wok in Greece maybe? Hmm.

Is "Fuzzy Logic" similar to Hazy Memory when I was a teen?

Thanks,

I read the article and have to admit that it was just waste of time - he did not give enough details.
