I used to listen to him all the time.
Back before the internet, we had this thing called radio.......

In 1979, I spent close to 3 months in Berlin working construction during summer vacation from college.
The tiny apartment I shared with several guys had a record player and two albums (The Cars and ELO......ughhh),
and a radio.
American Forces Network was the strongest radio signal,
and Casey Kasem played the hits of the day.

Ever since, whenever I hear "My Sharona" by The Knack,
I think of Casey Kasem and Berlin.

Grew up with his Top 40 countdown. One of the local stations plays reruns of his old shows from the 70s and 80s on weekend evenings, love when I run across it in the car. :ThmbUp:

I listened to him (as most of us did) a bit. The S.O. was a bigger fan than I was. She still listens to his re-broadcasts on a local station.

Glad he is no longer suffering. R.I.P.
