I¡¦m including some exacta prices with my lines here. how it works

--my win line is my assesment of the horses chances to win todays race. i would want
at least 50% percent higher before i made a win play.

--exacta prices shown already include the 50%. I will play them at the prices shown

--I always take into account that each additional exacta played subtracts $2 from
overlays. In other words if I played a 3 horse box in race 2 I'd want more like $110 for
each exacta played.

Race 2--wide open! i have everyone except the 5 as a contender, all at 5-1. i'll play
any exactas with 1 2 3 4 6 7 above $100.

Race 3--my favorite kind of race at balmoral-most here can be eliminated for lack of
shape. these races are often incorrectly bet at b1. this one may not be but we'll see.

grid format here, winner at left, place horse on top.

¡@ Odds 1 5 6
1 5/1 X 86 56
5 5/1 86 X 56
6 3/1 61 61 X

Paragon of Virtue turned in a notable effort at maywood last, leaving hard and
backing up after being parked 4 wide, then coming on and parked 4 wide around the
final turn, still passed 2 in the strecth and only passed by one who sat off all the
action. possible key here

race 11

¡@ Odds 2 4 6 9
2 6/1 X 91 98 157
4 9/2 97 X 72 116
6 9/2 102 71 X 122
9 7/1 154 107 114 X

Survivor vision and rad gumbo will probably provide value here.
tough post for the survivor but his last compares well with cash is
terrific's effort in the same race.

I would like to include uknowwhoiam but i haven't seen anything to make me want to
play joe marsh "jr" yet :)

race 12

¡@ Odds 1 2 4 5 7
1 7/1 X 154 98 77 154
2 7/1 154 X 98 77 154
4 9/2 106 106 X 53 106
5 7/2 87 87 56 X 87
7 7/1 154 154 98 77 X

This field divides up neatly-- quick view and boyish charm turning in steady solid
efforts lately, 1 2 and 7 who look kind of ok--thethreepannyopera is the wildcard here,
i decided on downgrading him significantly with all the missed time and sick
scratch¡Xand the others looking totally overmatched.

Good luck

sloppy track made serious betting a semi-impossibility last night. did catch the 11th, quick view paying a healthy 17.00 as the 7/2 favorite on my line. had the exacta tabbed there, barely. you would had to figure out it was the 11th and not the 12th race though

I know your handle of Exactaman means something (LOL) however have you looked over your records at the pic3 bet?? Balmoral seems to be your main area of harness interest and they do offer the bet on their menu. Some wild prices with the fav's out of that bet. Key I think is to get the first leg with a good price horse and then "roll the dice" with some 2nd and 3rd leg horses. BTW nice hit in the 11th or was it the 12th last Sat at Balmoral. LOL

what, and bet less exactas?! :)

i've always wanted to try it more seriously. it seems i usually don't find 3 races in a row i'm really interested in. pools at b1 are a small too. you play them there much?

Looking over the pools and handle numbers from Balmoral's web site I see they do about $5,000 per pic3 bet. Not to bad. I know what you mean about three races in a row that you like. Was thinking just grabbing one race and then "roll the dice" on the other two legs. When I said some wild payouts check the last pic3 at Bal on Saturday. Leg1 $20.60 Leg2 $5.60 and Leg3 $17.00 pic3 payoff $2,211.00. Leg3 was race 11 also which I think you had some interest in.
