Chris Kay and his newly appointed "chief experience officer" both took the day off on Sunday after the Belmont Stakes.

There was two dark days on the 9th and 10th, why not take those days off?

And articles like this about the bad customer experience on Belmont Day.

"Despite piles of trash littering the building and backyard, Belmont Park opened for racing on Sunday, a day after California Chrome came up short in the Belmont Stakes."

The place was an absolute mess by 8 pm Saturday (to be expected), but it should have been cleaned up by Sunday mid-morning. Saratoga is a mess after the Travers, but it looks great for the next day's racing. I don't think it matters that NYRA execs were off on Sunday, as long as they had a plan in place to have the place ready to go for Sunday's races. Did anyone attend on Sunday? If so, was there really trash littering the building and backyard?

Maybe the not showing up on Sunday and the big mess on Saturday just show a lack of leadership and a lack of passion for the job. Must be nice to make a few hundred K in salary and show up when you feel like it.

Didn't NYRA usually take the Sunday after the Belmont off in years past? Just as Churchill and Pimlico do after their classics?

Another ridiculous thread by SRU, unless he has some inside knowledge that the CEO wasn't working very long hours leading up to the Belmont.
