In the history of horse racing.

5 horse field, here are the odds:

3-5, 5-2, 4-1, 5-1 and 13-1.

The 5-1 shot won the race and the 5-2 shot was 2nd.

What's a "good price" for this exacta.

What's the best possible price this could ever pay.

Make a guess and ill post it in a little bit.

$80.

I know...because I had the tri.

But that wasn't even the greatest exacta of the DAY...much less the greatest of all time.

Same track a little later in the day...a 6-1 on top and a 4-1 second paid $190 for $2.

:D

I bet that race too and saw someone bet a grand on the Justin Evans horse and i was thinking that horse was not a real router type, so i took a shot against her with a horse who had like 18 lifetime wins. Couldnt' believe the price.

Maybe this is a good track to bet, seems like you can get some value if you beat the chalk

It's usually a TERRIBLE track to bet...but something mysterious happened there today, I guess. ;)

i don't mean to hijack the thread and sincerely hope sru hit this overlayed exacta but as big of an advocate of people getting out of the house and attending live racing and simulcasting as i am this is one of the frequent situations that imo really detracts from the experience.

come up and tell me you hit an x to 1 over a y to 1 that paid an amazing z to 1 and i'm happy for you. really.

but hold me hostage with questions about what the exotic "should" and actually did pay......

I just think there are plenty of threads on "this didnt pay enough, lets have an investigation" so i wanted to start a thread that suggested that once in a while, the people who bet after the start miss one. :D

I'll sum it up for anyone who may be wondering what this is about since SRU and Thask are too excited to inform us, LOL.

SunRay Park race 7. The 'expected' $2 exacta payoff should be about $35, and it paid $82.80. :)

once took down a whole pick 3 pool at fp with either two five dollar horses and a six dollar horse or two six dollar horses and a five.

amazed, i remember calling the adw for a balance check. i did not, however, ask the operator how much he thought the pick 3 should have paid. :D

Thing is, you start most of those "didn't pay enough" or "betting after the start" threads. If you didn't, maybe there wouldn't be so many.

Its important to keep things transparent. If something looks fishy with payouts or late odds changes, one of us probably will post it.

Yeah. I was just getting to that. Been to the track when a 7-2 over 4-1 with an 11 horse field of maidens will come back $60.

I keep wondering the same thing, but I'm going to try and post a link to the day's charts below. You'll need to scroll down to the 8th race, I couldn't pull it up by itself. If my link works, you can decide for yourself.

Please note also that this was the payoff posted that day on the simulcast after the race went official. I remember seeing it, that was why I checked it out on the chart.

I don't know what to make of it. Mistake? Possibly. Bridgejumper in the tri pool? Anybody out there ever hear of such a thing?

its really bizarre.

It wouldn't appear to be a typo, unless there's a typo in both the payoff # and the pool #. That doesn't seem likely.
