Jody Jamieson suspended for cocaine positive

Driver Jody Jamieson had a positive test for the presences of cocaine and is currently serving an immediate suspension for 15 days. Jamieson, age 38, last drove on Saturday, June 7 at Mohawk Raceway. He was taken off all his drives on Monday and Tuesday at Mohawk Raceway and is not listed to drive anywhere else henceforth.

Tim Tetrick was named to replace Jamieson on He’s Watching in Saturday's $1 million North America Cup at Mohawk Raceway.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I recall Buffalo Raceway had a driver named Jamie Dunlap who had "substance abuse problems" and he was suspended by the New York Gaming Commission. I have no idea what happened to the guy and how long he was suspended for, but I haven't seen his name around in quite sometime.

I recall a driver named WALTER CASE JR., who also was a multi suspended substance abuse driver, who tried to kill his wife with a knife...:eek:

He could have been one of the greatest of all time...:jump:

No matter how big or smart one is, addiction is a destructive crying shame....:(

I know he rode a card a while ago at some small track and was trying to get licensed in other states. Any news on if he is still trying? I know he did a very bad thing but he paid with his time in the pokey, and pval and his 5 million chances and shaving his whole body comes to mind. At least what happened with case didnt affect bettors.
