This has to be a suicide pact, no?

first thing I thought of when I saw it. If you look at the place this happen, out in the boonies where nobody else could get hurt? I can't imagine anything else. Both without belts?

Look at the photo........no deviation from center mass........

Cell phone records?...were they talking to each other during or shortly before the crash?

I'm thinking more along the lines of murder-suicide.

How horrific. I would rather take a bunch of pills and fall peacefully asleep.

It seems a little complicated for a suicide pact but it does give them an out if either changes their mind in the last instance.

Robert, I was thinking just the opposite. If one changes their mind the other one zeroes in on them.

But I do see your point.

I want to know what's up with their life insurance, who gets it?

Good point. I read somewhere that among those who want to keep their suicide a secret an automoblile crash is the the #1 choice. Without a note it's hard to prove otherwise.

Possible suicide pact, but too much information is missing to draw that conclusion.
Personally, I think that would be a stupid way to attempt to commit suicide.
The chances of ending up as a quadriplegic for life for either or both were probably as good as dying.
The possibility that they were raging with one another crosses my mind, where each is trying to kill the other, but not themselves. That would not be a pact.
