Great guy, and the keenest horse player you could ever meet.
I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times,
and I'm sure others on here knew him well.

loved him and George Steinbrenner for hiring him. he was very instrumental in winning world series for the Yankees.

that man is a tough loss for all of us, he wasn't any different than anyone in the racing game.

i hope Zim is in a better place now

Sad news - he was an icon who was in baseball for probably 50yrs or more.

Remmber him as a player for the Brooklyn Dodgers and the early Mets. One of a kind, and he will be missed. RIP.
