You need to watch this one.

when the gate opened, the Assistant in the gate,
was standing in front of the horse,
causing the horse to get off to a BAD start.

However the #7 finished 2nd,
After a 20 minute inquiry,
the #7 was declared a NON-Starter,
the owner was given 2nd place money.

the bettors were screwed.

I think it was the correct decision personally. The only one that could have been made. You certainly wern't screwed if you had the #7 to WIN! ;)
I mean the #7 could have won it for all that matter if the start wasn't messed up by the handler. So all in all it was unfortunate but this stuff happens in horse racing! :cool:

I think they should have let the results stand,
it was just bad racing luck
