The splits for the 5th at Bel:

23.22-23.51 (47.73) 23.10-12.16 (120.99)

That 3rd 1/4 was the death blow...ran 35.26 for the last 3/8...but why did Loki's jock just sit there thru those slow opening panels !!?? Seems like Franco could have seized the lead down the backside, which is what I wanted him to do :bang:

They are both trained by Hushion.
He looked great but I doubt his ability to handle a faster early pace.

I thought the Captain was going to sit. Franco was probably confused and didn't want to get in trouble.

He looked great but I doubt his ability to handle a faster early pace.A quick look at who the jockeys were told you who Hushion thought was going to win. Captain Serious did what a lot of horses do when they are quite a bit the best horse in the race. He went to the front and never looked back. There was no way Ortiz was going let Loki's to get in front of Serious today on a track that looked to be playing very fair to quality front runners. I don't know what the figure makers will do, but 4/5 off the track record by a state bred appears to be a very good time.

Thanks for the correction - I used the posted times from the video during the race, which I guess was erroneous...or I just can't see very well :D

23.22-22.51 (45.73) 23.10-12.16 (120.99)

so he went the 1/2m btw 2f and 6f in 45.61....not bad.
I stated the death knell was that 3rd 1/4, but it was really the 1st 1/4, which is larceny at 23.22
