9th@Mountaineer: 6F Clm5000N1Y ~ purse $9,000 ~ 5/27/14
(Non-winners of a race in 6 months)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Entry will be heavily bet, look tough on drop, but if things get hot on
the front end with help of 4,8,9, perhaps Cox Commandos vulnerable.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
2) Major Rock Star (6/1ML)- Five Works off a 198-day layoff for
8YO that won local debut here by 12 on muddy sealed oval. Watch one.
3) Kershner (3/1)- 5YO rounding into form, catches softer condition,
and should get dream trip behind speed. Value (+2/1) biggest obstacle.
4) Storm Love (20/1)- N4L eligible, wants early lead, won't get it.
5) Clifford (8/1)- Very sharp owner/trainer goes w/3rd jock in three
local tries. Will be in 2nd flight early, hopes for 2nd run behind Kershner.
6) Streaterville (6/1)- 9YO deep closer gets positive setup & solid
rider. Needs pace meltdown for win, but must-use in any vertical wagers.
1) Flip Flop (Part of Entry, 8/5ML fave)- Speed&Fade thus far 2014,
but drops in class. Rivera will try to grab lead,& slow them down early.
7) High Road Star (10/1)- 246-Day layoff off Two convincing wins
never a positive. N4L eligible, 4YO faces tough task vs.these.
1A) Brother Brett (P.O.E., 8/5)- Cox Commando's other Bullet, will
likely come off the pace set by entrymate tonight. Seems weaker half.
8) Rule Of Reason (15/1)- 440Yard cutack for 6YO that had Boffo
2013 year locally, but needs form reversal. Not Impossible.
9) Chillin Villain (20/1)- Great name, solid career, but 10YO needs
N1-12mo. foes to flash speed to best use. Tab for a race after June 9th.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: Class droppers seem to hold the aces in this spot.
Entry is a must-use in P4/P5, but if field stays whole, a chance
for a hot pace early. Kershner is logical alternative, but likely will
be overbet late as 2nd-choice ML. Clifford could be ready for
best effort, & Streaterville will be the one Peter Berry is calling
on for a fast close late. I'm Chalky 1-3 in P4/P5,& if track playing
fairly may use 5,6,8 as a P3/DD saver.
Good Luck to All, See you at NIGHT SCHOOL!

I think the value is the :5:, who can get 2nd, but I don't see anyone beating the entry.

Dammit. I didn't account for a wet track.
