then,

click on the live odds / wagering link

select a track, and enter

You can then sign in from the bottom section.

Going through handicapping withdrawal here...

Late last night I tried to download past performance files for today. The site at www.brisnet.com would not respond. I didn't think much of it. Their contest is happening this weekend. They frequently do site maintenance at contest time and in the middle of the night. I live on the west coast. They are in Kentucky. There's a two hour time difference. I figured they'd be up and running by the time I woke up. So this morning I tried their site again. I kept getting the following error message:


Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

So I called their tech support number at 1-800-354-9206 to see what was happening. I just knew that the monthly newsletter that they mail out might be good for something other than lining the bottom of a bird cage. (It has their tech support phone number.)

Lo and behold I was told that they were just doing some routine maintenance for about 30 minutes. I don't like being lied to. So I mentioned that the site hasn't been available for at least ten hours and got the guy to admit that they can't say when their site will be up again.

Yeah, appears to be down -- I'm getting server errors. Apparently, the BRIS servers are named after philosophers -- the error shows faulty connections to "suntzu" and "hegel"...

They were flakey earlier (about noon CDST). After race 2 at PHA their results were showing 9 races, race 1 & 2 from today and not sure about the other 7. Probably had to shut down to de-flake their system :).
