Seabiscuit is a great name for a son of Hard Tack, since hardtack and sea biscuits are the same thing.

A good example would be "Cigar". I thought at the time when he first started running "What a dumb name".. but then he ended up becoming one of my favorite ones ever.

Damn straight.
I remember in 73 thinking "Secretariat" was a Filly when I first heard the name. When my father told me that he was a Colt, I was amazed they would name a Colt after an office assistant. When he won the TC, the name suddenly sounded Regal to me. Funny how that works.
