To all: 13 of the last 15 Belmont winners did not race in all three legs of the Triple Crown. The data above covers the years 1999-2013. The two exceptions to this rule were: Point Given and Afleet Alex.

The previous gap for a TC winner was 25 years. We are now approaching nearly 40. The Belmont has turned failure into an art.
