Hello,

Please be advised that posting scoring updates will be lagging.

I'll do my best to get things relatively caught-up, but this is now day 36 in my bout with Shingles, which happens to be near my left eye and around my forehead.

The basic problem is that there is too much pain and soreness to open my eyes and focus on anything for more than a few minutes at a time. The eyes are often blurry at the same time, making the whole process pretty difficult. Some days are better than others, which is when I AM able to do some updates.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, and when you do have a question about your scoring, make sure you understand the date of the scoring update you are looking at first.

No need for your sympathies or qet-well-quick responses......I just wanted you to know what the scoring results have and will continue to be delayed off and on for a while.

Sorry about your eyes. Was wondering if you wear contacts. Saw a show where it was very difficult to diagnose cause of patients eye problems which turned out to be a rare form of bacteria from dirty contacts.

Please accept my apologies for significantly late standings updates. As you know, this is not up to my usual standards, and there is obviously reasons for this. I also recognize how difficult this is to assess if/when to make banking decisions.

For those who do not know, or may have forgotten, I am currently battling Shingles, and this is day 49. :mad: Mine is an usual occurrence in that I have it in the eye and face area. Not only do I have the usual miserable pains, but with my eyes affected, my vision, while not having any physical damage, do not allow me to see for more than about an hour or two each day. Trying to focus on anything specific is a particular challenge before they water-up and make any further sight not possible. I have not been able to watch tv more than about 30 minutes total since this whole ordeal started, and laptops are bright and difficult as well.

No public sympathies please, but do know that I as soon as things improve we will get caught up, or at least much closer to current.

The date column in my spreadsheet had a quote mark in it instead of the date. This caused the program to pull your total from after your second race selection instead of the third selection.

Recently AsD completely cancelled their races one day, and the day before that they cancelled after only 2 races. Perhaps you are including plays you made on one of those days?

Yes, it is a "no-play". The reasoning is that a player should not be penalized when a track decides to cancel or not offer a particular wagering pool for which the player has a selection in.

Not offering PLACE wagering is certainly a rare circumstance.

Seriously, Bob just happens to know that my eyes are still a significant way from normal, so thankful when he "covers" for me. Our final day is Tuesday, July 1st. It is a Canadian holiday, so Assiniboia Downs will also be running.

Since a player needs at least 3 consecutive successful selections in order to bank a parlay, once a player has a losing selection on July 1st, none of their other selections will be scored, with the following two exceptions.

(a) A participant who starts the day with 17 to 19 Assiniboia Downs may continue posting AsD selections until they meet the required number of 20 plays.
(b) A participant who already has the required minimum number of 20 Assiniboia Downs plays, but has between 27 and 29 Total plays, may continue posting races from any track to reach the required minimum number of 30 Total plays.
