Recent tweets I just saw: Hope these are accurate.

Update on Wise Dan, relatively good news. Piece of the small intestine flipped, finishing up surgery. Not expected 2B career ending.

Said Charlie LoPresti re: Wise Dan surgery "Basically it’s the best case scenario for colic, nothing had to be resected."

Added LoPresti "The long and short of it is if (Wise Dan) recovers from it 6 or 8 weeks off at the most."

Rock on, Dan. Hope you come back. If, by chance, you want to hang up your shoes, I'm fine with it. Either way, you're one tenacious rascal to watch. One I've enjoyed tremendously. ;)

I wasn't even thinking about his "career", but if they don't expect it to be career-ending, then that is awesome news.

Beyer may need to take a second look at that 94 figure. Or at least put it in perspective, who's to say this wasn't a factor in it.

Makes me think of Lost In The Fog, who was euthanized because of widespread cancer, but still won the Aristides at Churchill in his 2nd to last start. In the autopsy Doctors were amazed with the extent of of the growths & figured they could have been growing for months or more.

I've always defined class as the ability to overcome adversity.

I have been busy today and missed this until I just heard it on TVG a few minutes ago. Good news it was caught in time and they were able to untwist the small intestines before there was tissue damage.

One of my favorite horses as well. Probably best I did not know about this until the outcome stage. Glad things look good for Dan.

This is what you think about with the severity of this news.
