Was just reading about a sleeper horse in the 1964 Kentucky Derby named
Northen Dancer, He beat out the betting favorite Hill Rise.

Doesn't seem like this happened 50 years ago.

Whatever happened to Hill Rise??

Won the Man o' War in 1965, then went to England. In 1966, was named Champion UK Miler, with a highlight of winning the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.

I can't find any info for his stud career.

Here's a list of his progeny:

Not much to see there. I remember Victory Rise. Spent most of his career in cheap claimers.
