Stakes race! Palice Malice unbeatable fav...

1. Best horse in race
2. Only 4 horses in race
3. 2 are trained by Pletcher
4. Only possible horse with chance to compete for the win, ridden by Joe Bravo.

Likely contender(ridden by Bravo, kept far off pace, only to run into second after pace setters tire badly)

What's wrong with this picture?
I think I know, I want someone else to frank my opinion.

The pace was fairly solid, not sure what Bravo was supposed to do, make it suicide? Finishing second was about as good as could have been hoped.

Palace Malice was going to win that race no matter how it was run, period.
He is worlds better than that bunch and is the best dirt horse in America.

I was alluding to the fact that Joe Bravo, who rode the one horse in the Westchester, rides for Pletcher but I got the horse wrong(the horse he rode for Pletcher was Danza, Ark. Derby winner, not Constitution, ridden by Castellano.....anyway, I bet the one to place and cashed, just think that he was ridden for second, and that's not how I wanted him ridden in this spot. In other words........I knew he was second best in race and I wanted him given his chance to win. That's all I'm sayin' I was quite prepared to lose my place bet if he could not have held second under those conditions...that is what makes a horse race after all!

But, yes I made a mistake over which horse Bravo had ridden for the Pletcher stable. Sorry 'bout that mental slip.

Races such as this I refer to as "pari mutuel workouts".
