how to block bad websites

on ipad mini was on sports site and somehow keep getting bad sites out of nowhere appearing--how to block (apple I-pad)

Just a suggestion...close all your previously opened tabs in your safari browser and try and keep your fingers off the screen as you can pick up unwanted links quite easily using the touch screen. Don't loan out your Ipad to your kids either if ya get my drift:eek:

It's not a virus. It's a browser hijack

I was told that if you type https, instead of http, that supposedly you won't get transferred somewhere else.
