Was hoping to get hold of a copy of this text but can't seem to find it anywhere! Found an archived thread about it here:

You might try searching for used book stores.

I used to use a company called BookLook. I would put in a request for a book and they would search for it.

I found an old copy of "Beat The Market" by Edward Thorp. The book is out of print and now is quite valuable.

Brecher's book is terrific. If you had read it when it was first published you would have been looking into the future of the way professionals bet horse races.

Bill Benter expanded on Brecher's ideas and made hundreds of millions of dollars. Brecher worked for Ed Thorp for awhile and Thorp made hundreds of millions in the stock market.

Funny how the best people find each other.

I have this book.

It is a good book, and the weighting process does (as I recall) make sense. However, I think the book below is much more modern and contains a more powerful approach.

Brecher might even advise you to switch to another game other than horse racing these days. Looks like he has been playing poker the last few years and done well there
