Letterman, being from Indiana, has always loved the Derby. He talks about it every year on the first night back after its running. I remember when he had Calvin on....that was a good interview. Fun, too.

Again this year, he comes through, sending one of his interns to Louisville to schmooze with celebrities, and create some lighthearted humor.

Dave never lets us down, never forgets us. I don't care if its all in fun. I'm grateful for any mention.

The clip reaffirms the fact. There certainly is a lot of "dumb money" on the grounds and in the betting pools.

Fun to watch. So many did not even know the horses running in the Derby.

Commanding Curve - FAKE
Daddy's Got Gout - REAL

Yikes!

The Intern won $7.00. Now, he's hooked! :D

For years, I loved watching Dave when I got the chance.
In recent years, though, I'm a very early riser for work.
Haven't seen Dave in ages - darnit
