Mad Scientist and I are having a little contest.

-100 races at whatever track Mad Scientist prefers.
-We will play every day his chosen track is running.
-We will post selections the night before so that neither player can take advantage of race day info that one player may not be able to take advantage of due to other obligations.
-If either player can't handicap a day for whatever reason, then that day is eliminated from the 100 race sample.
-This is a win-only contest. Post your top choice along with two alternate selections in case of scratches. If one player's picks are all scratched, that particular race is eliminated from the 100 race sample.
-No maiden races will be part of the 100 race sample.

I think that about covers it all. Once you pick the track we're playing, we'll be off and running.

Indeed, you have already posted a very valuable lesson - don't choose favs and 2nd favs if you want to win an ROI-based champion. Not that PA needs help, but you are practically giving the trophy to him by making picks like that. It's hard to believe that there are some who would make you a favorite.

Well Pace you dodged a bullet today. I get 1 out of 4 horses home, and the other three all finish second. Including a 12-1 shot in the last race. This game can drive you crazy lol ....

Oh and the horse that beat my 12-1 shot was my first alternate in the race and I actually played the exacta in the race, but of course I didn't box it. $56 exacta if I would have boxed it .... Than my pick in the first race loses the photo by a nostril and my pick in the race after that loses by half a length and than I get home a 2-1 shot and than on the final race my 12-1 shot runs second to my first alternate and I don't box the exacta ... Really tough day at the office ... I was all over these races and I end up losing money today ....

Don't want to get into a big debate in this thread, however, since we are using a $2 base bet, I thought it best to report ROI based on $2.00. Hence, Mad Scientist currently has a $1.60 ROI...$1.60 returned for every $2.00 wagered.

I could have reported it as 0.80, or $0.80 returned for every $1 wagered.

You can report the number in many different ways. It all means the same thing in the end.

Sick I missed Top Fortitude's comeback. Out of the country. Now I feeling like staying here.

Don't feel bad ... I had stuff to do yesterday so I did not watch the races at Santa Anita live. I just went ahead and made all my bets in the morning. Top Fortitude was 6/1 morning line which I thought was right around fair value, so the race did not really catch too much of my attention. I put a few bucks down on the win end and that was it.

Now if I was watching the races live and knew that the horse had drifted all the way up to 30-1 than I would have considered that a major betting oppurtunity and really attacked the race. I would have had more than just a few bucks on the win end, and I know I would have taken down the super which paid over $2400 for sure, since my top two horses behind Top Fortitude landed in the super and the 4th horse was not a big long shot and since it was only a 7 horse field I would have spread underneath and caught that other horse on at least one ticket if not more, but that's the life of a horseplayer lol ...

This screenshot will be shared via email with all the human resource departments of every track in the United States, so they can alert their employees of the vile racist garbage that is allowed and encouraged to be posted on this site. I will also send out a seperate email to all the track announcers.

I will send out emails to TVG, HRTV and RTN with a copy of the screenshot attached. I will also email every on air personality on TVG and HRTV making them aware of the racist nature of this site.

I will contact every sponsor of this site and send them a copy of the screenshot of grits comments so they know what types of comments their companies are being associated with.

I will also undertake a MASSIVE social media campaign directed at not just all of the above people and organizations but also the general public.
