The son of a famed concert violinist, who studied violin himself, but went into acting instead (after flunking out of Yale), starring notably in the TV series 77 Sunset Strip and The FBI, has passed away at age 95.

Barely remember 77 Sunset Strip and then it's only the theme song.

I remember the theme song, too, but what about cast member Edd "Kookie" Byrnes, and the Connie Stevens song that he inspired from his character's constant hair-combing? (And why on earth would anyone (especially a woman) want to borrow his comb, anyway?) :)

77 Sunset Stripe, Route 66, great TV, unlike most of the crap on today.
RIP EZJ.

Exactly correct, today's television programs promote lowlife degenerate behavior.

After a half century the memory falters a bit, but seem to recall a Damon Runyon type degenerate horse player type character on the show. He may have been a tout. This was very early in my horseplayer pastime, somewhat easily infuenced, and do recall taking a liking to the guy. :D

You're thinking of Roscoe, played by Louis Quinn.
