Urg, picked the wrong front runner.

Race 1 - ouch. :8: loomed then "failed to follow through". Story of my life.

Race 2 - very tough race other than the chalk. Small each way play on the plainly named :2: dog, looking to move forward.

Must be more Chinese players calling in to TVG to get the Cantonese or Mandarin audio feed. Oh well.

For those of you that prefer the Queen's English, here's the online link to the race calls:

Oops. Back to English now on the TVG video. Sweet.

Race 2 - chalk ran out, :2: hugged the rail and faded.

Race 3 - small each way on :9: , not much in this race. But another toughie.

We got hit something, right? R4 its :6: w :1: :2: :10:

Race 3 - I should ask for refund on the :9: - he never ran a step.

Race 4 - like the :9: to be around at the end. 0-23, but has done well at 1400 in the past, and it may be his best distance. Should fire from the 8 post. Saver Q :9: with :3: :10: :11: . :10: is dappled up the wazoo.

Bias looks pretty even inside to outside, and from speed vs closing. The chalk :2: is going to close from downtown - he might be a little late.

I dunno. Maybe not. My selection :9: broke very slowly in the 4th, and cheap speed with the :7: mule stretches out for the win at 97-1. Wow. Chalks were nowhere. Pretty quiet as they came down to the wire.

Oh, and tough getting beat on your :6: with that bomb. Slow pace, bomb gets up.

OUCH! Huge prices in Race 4! Tri pays $10k I think for a $1 bet

Well that should guarantee a triple trio carryover, yikes 90-1/10-1/20-1, will get some back on the place finally.

If there is any early pace advantage, it's because the races have been light on early speed, and R4 was no exception, all the favs were looking to slot near the back.

I seemed to remember that Sha Tin usually favors closers, and often closers/swoopers going wide. That sure hasn't been the case the last few weeks, as the rail has been pretty good, and speed is doing okay tonight. But you're right Some_One, not as much pace on in a couple of races, with most horses preferring to come off the pace.

Well we'll see now about a bias, I have this being a really fast early pace early, so :4: w :1: :10: :11: for me

Another tough race. Great card tonight.

I'm taking the :3: with :6: :7: . Hate to stay with chalky picks, but the :3: getting back outside should get the trip.

Added :3: :4: Q. :4: looked good on the track.

Race 6 - another that looks tough, but I like the chalk.

Tough night. :3: got jammed in the last race. D'oh!

Race 7 - looking for :4: to pounce late, :4: with :1: :2: :7:

The derby horses are both underlays currently @ less than even for the :5: Designs on Rome and 8-1 for :7: Dibayani...I have them 2-1 and 10-1 respectively. :8: Uncoiled is worth a punt at 50-1. :1: Military Attack is a slight overlay at 5-1, I have him at 4-1, same for :2: Dominant currently 20-1, I have him in the teens.

I still rate :3: Epiphaneia as my top choice. Trainer and jockey are expert at travelling abroad and Japanese stocks these few years have been exceptional.

:4: w :1: :5: for me, though the price on the 5 is crazy, but seems to be norm with the HK Derby winners in this race.

Race 8 - going with the :1: . Looks like the real deal on track. Like the :3: a bit, but he seems a bit warm. Of course it's pretty toasty there today.

WOW! :5: Designs on Rome! All heart! I'm guessing easy win for Able Friend next week

BTW Moreira gets beat again by Tommy Berry no matter what John Moore horse he rides

Tough break on the :1: , horrible ride on my :4: , think Soumillion is in Paris for Cirrus Des Aigles tomorrow and got stuck with Delpeche

:1: gets a perfect trip, and the :3: no cover all the way. Thought I had a winner, but the chalk wears him down. Great race.
