Currently 179 behind.

Yanks have about 140 games remaining, Jeter figures to not play all 140, he's probably going to play between 120 and 130 depending on health.

Any possible shot?

Does 5th really mean anything?

No, but its the best he can possibly do if he only plays 1 more season.

Top 5 in anything is pretty special, the game has been around over 100 years not to mention that yesteryear players had a much easier time accumulating massive statistics, not as much in the modern day.

He's not going to make that number. Too far of a stretch for the time he's got left.

But, given his payroll and his lifestyle, he's in good shape, so I would not worry too much if I were him. Living in Trump Tower aside, he has plenty of money left Valtrex and his other living essentials. ;)

He would have to have an amazing season and not "sit" too many games. He's probably 100-1 to catch Speaker, its not impossible, but its highly improbable.
