Somewhere in Shakespeare's works are written words as, " The fault lies not in our stars, but with ourselves being underlings". And so it is, as our psyche often does not give us a fair shake when dealing with exploits at the racetrack. Can it be said, " that we seek too much action". Race 1, 5 and 9 are the races to play today, but is there discipline to wait for them and skip the races in between?.............Can it be said, "That we break our own rules and submit to playing underlays"? Our 2 choices are separated by a slight degree as we go to choice #1 which the whales crush to 4:5 odds, and our choice #2 comes home a winner at 6:1...........Can it be said, "That we provided a bankroll sufficient to accommodate our style of play"? Knowing how to realize our longest losing streak possibilities and have capital to prevent exhaustion of funds........Can it be said, "Our methodology has been fully tested and matched expected and actual results within desirable degree of error"? Records and formulas are available to do this. So it is clear, our psyche is relevant and needs to be addressed if we are to win at the racetrack.

With the advent of ADWs, many bettors thought that by being able to look at more races, the boredom of sitting out races could be avoided. I am not sure for how many bettors it worked out that way. A problem has developed that you can not be reasonable sure of your odds until 0 MTP if then . They end up scrambling trying to see whether they are getting good enough odds on 4 races going off at same time. It is a fool who bets at 5 MTP in this environment.
