This is what I don't understand about the Showdown Vernon Downs contest.

At first I pick Race 1 #4 Youwillwishyouhad
Than I read this in their rules:-
In the event that an entrant selects a horse that is part of a coupled entry or mutuel field, you will receive both horses in the coupled entry in the Showdown contest. Therefore, one of the coupled horses must finish no worse than third for the entrant to remain eligible in the contest.

I see in Race 3, there are 6 #1 horses. 1,1a,1b,1c,1d,1e so I modify it to 1c but 1c break and 1a win.

There is almost no way any of the #1 horses not gonna be in in WPS. But I got eliminated.

Why so less people join this contest (ony 854). Most of them have 2000+. Meadowlands have 4000+. I guess because they don't give out free program.

Yes free programs were part of it. But I basically concentrate on Med and Yonkers and that keeps me pretty busy. So I think unless somebody plays Vernan normally they don't enter.
